MINI MUSICAL THEATRE SUMMER CAMP. . .

Spring 2022 (TBD)

Join Delta Youth Theatre this summer for a magical Mini Musical Theatre Camp inspired by Winnie the Pooh KIDS! Young performers will step into the whimsical world of the Hundred Acre Wood while exploring the joy of singing, dancing, acting, and storytelling.

Designed especially for our youngest campers, this half-day camp introduces children to the basics of musical theatre through playful theatre games, music, movement, and imaginative storytelling. Over the course of the camp, students will learn songs and moments from the same show our older Musical Theatre campers are preparing, giving them a special connection to the larger production.

Led by Jennifer McKee and DYT student helpers, this camp creates a supportive and creative environment where children can build confidence, make new friends, and express themselves through the arts.

On the final day of camp, families will be invited to a short informal sharing, where campers will present a few songs and activities they’ve learned during the week. Families will also have the option to attend the final performance of Winnie the Pooh KIDS to see the show their material comes from and celebrate the work of our older campers.

Join Delta Youth Theatre this summer for a playful Mini Musical Theatre Camp inspired by Leap Year! In this imaginative camp, young performers will explore the fun of musical theatre while learning about days of the week, time, and the rhythm of a calendar through song, movement, and storytelling.

Designed especially for our youngest campers, this half-day camp introduces children to the basics of musical theatre through theatre games, music, creative movement, and imaginative play. Throughout the week, campers will sing and act out moments inspired by the story of Leap Year, discovering how the days of the week, months, and even leap years help shape the way we experience time.

Students will also learn songs and moments connected to the same show our older Musical Theatre campers are preparing, giving them a special connection to the larger production.

Led by Jennifer McKee and DYT student helpers, this camp offers a supportive and engaging environment where children can build confidence, make new friends, and express themselves through the arts.

On the final day of camp, families will be invited to a short informal sharing, where campers will present a few songs and activities they’ve learned during the week. Families will also have the option to attend the final performance of Leap Year to see the full show their material comes from and celebrate the work of our older campers.
